PES 2012 DEMO LEAVES ME WANTING MORE!

Hello fellow PES fans and welcome back to the PRO EVO MASTERS LEAGUE.

I am sure that I'm not the only PES player to have downloaded and played the demo to the future release of the PES franchise. The PES 2012 demo cannot be compared to the full release by any means, but it definately gives us a snippet of things to come.

The game does look improved in many ways, but in the same respect there do seem to be some bugs.

A short description from Konami's official PES 2012 page follows below:

  • Teammate AI has become more true to life on defense and offense - Your team plays more cohesively
  • New Off-the-ball-controls - Take even more control in dead-ball situations to manage your team strategy
  • Zonal marking and positional defending are massively enhanced - Players are forced to work harder to split defenders
  • Collision detection is overhauled - The physicality of top-level soccer is captured
  • Graphics are updated again -Movements, facial representations and pitches have built upon last year's massive improvements
The bugs that I refer to within PES 2012 focus mainly around the way the goalkeeper behaves! There are so many within the community that have focused on this sole bug. The problem surrounding this bug is that, people, this is a DEMO! And the first one at that. There is another demo to come before the release of the full game!

So let us all calm down and take in the fact that the game itself has eliminated the massively dire bug within 2011 that a fellow blogger referred to as the "Stumble Animation"! Some other changes show the speed of the game to have slowed, the ball has become heavier, but in general, the game itself seems to have become more realistic.

I have to admit, I have not avidly played the demo as much as some fellow PES players, but I have played enough. I do not want to get too involved with the demo before the game is released. I do play it occasionally still, but mostly, PES 2011 is still not finished for me.

Within PES 2011, I have played over 600 matches in ML online, Completed 11 seasons of ML offline with my Blackburn Rovers team (Having won in all competitions and the last 2 seasons gone undefeated), and currently concentrating on completing my career with Galarath in Become a Legend. BAL is definately hard in itself as you can become very frustrated with the way your team mates play and not be able to do anything about it!

Until The release date of PES 2012, I have decided to concentrate on my BAL career. Currently, Galarath is nearly 25 and playing for chelsea. This means for me to complete his career, He needs to play for another 10 years. Thats a lot of games before the release, but it is now my mission!

I try to record any goals I score and post them on my YOUTUBE channel, so please feel free to take a look and comment.

Thanks also for you support by visiting my blog. I dont ask for any money and will try to help anyone who leaves comments here. I am an avid PES player and will always be, even if the bugs exist in future versions. I am sure there will be plenty of you out there who will let others know!

Goodbye for now, and please come back for updates on my progress with Galarth as he tries to complete his career.

Thanks for visiting.

PES 2012 RELEASE DATE AND PREVIEWS!

ITS OFFICIAL! PES 2012 is to be released in the UK on 14th October and you can bet it's definitely going to be better than 2011!

From the way the past year has gone since the launch of PES 2011, many players have been dismayed, but there are still some that have thoroughly enjoyed the game.

I have been a bit of both. In some respects, the game has tested my patience, but in others, has given me a sense of achievement. The game itself definitely favours the faster paced play that the likes of the Barcelona's and Milan's. Players generally get rewarded for playing certain ways, but this does not seem fair to players that like to hold the ball a little more and work out what they are going to do next!

PES 2012 however has been hailed as the breakthrough for the franchise. They still have the decent graphics and good gaming modes, but they have improved the flaws that 2011 cropped up with.

I can't wait till the release of PES 2012, but will it be worth buying? Some have said it is the best, some mention that it's rival is still 2 years in front. Still, the only way to find out is to buy the game and play it. Would you be one who does or doesn't?

There are a few video's to enjoy below that feature the new aspects of PES 2012 and also show what has changed within the game.

Another piece of news regarding PRO EVO is their cover player, Lionel Messi, will no longer be around! There is a new face, although this is under wraps as of yet. If I find out any more info, I will be sure to post on the blog.

I have only selected 3 of the video's to make sure the post is not majorly long, but will hopefully feature the rest over the next few posts.

BEST CHEAP PLAYERS IN MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

Whether or not you are a fledgling MLO player or Veteran, you will always want to be buying some decent players at a cheap price. MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE certainly gives you the impression  that you will not be able to compete against the top flight players equally until you have played your fair share of games, which in turn sends some funds for your team upgrade options.

Starting out, you are faced with the task of sorting through your default players to give you the best possible formation for your style of play. Some players opt to keep the starting default's, but some sift through and sell those players that can give you some initial funds for slightly better players.

So can you really have a chance at building a decent team early on with little funds, or will it take much longer for your master league team to house some good cheap players?

Well the truth is, YES you can purchase some decent players at a cheap price. You may not get the likes of Messi or Ronaldo (these are valued around the 30m-35m mark each!), but you can still buy players cheap that will, in effect make your team better.

I will not list all of those players within this post, as I do feel there are many to talk about. In this post I just want to mention a few names with an approximate value (at the time of writing) just to get you started.

I wanted to do a bit of a write up on this subject, along with some more in depth posts about Master league online, due to the many messages I have received from YOU, the visitors to THE PRO EVO MASTERS LEAGUE.

Well here goes! I firstly want to mention about a player that seems to change in value only ever so slightly, but is valued at around 3.5m. Belasie seems to be a favourite amongst both noob MLO players and veterans. He is very fast paced with TS and ACC at 93 and with a shot accuracy of 79. I have used this player since my early MLO campaign, and he has not let me down much. Definitely worth the price, and if he is on a red arrow, he is top class!

If you are looking for a CB that can be used as a SB, A. Hughes is a decent buy at around 2m. He still has a 71 OVR whether playing in either position and has good pace. His passing accuracy is high in the 70's and gives a top class attacker a run for their money.

A well known AMF/SS Van Der Vaart is a very decent buy at around the 5-5.5m mark. Shot accuracy is 83, along with decent passing stats, and good dribbling skills, he is a very good long term buy for any team.

Anderson (M Utd) is a good price at around 4m. What he lacks in speed, he makes up for defensively and as a good play maker. He may even give a decent amount of shots and score a few, especially after you attack and the opponent clears the ball. Kind of like a Scholes-esque long range bullet.

One last player I would like to mention, is Sigediz. Not very well known at all, as he generally has a 20-30 OVR! This surely cannot be for real, right??? Well to tell you the truth, I will let you take a look for yourself. He is one of those players that you can pay pocket change for, and still have enough left to buy a new house! Do a search in the transfer market for him and check out his price. He does not seem like he has very good stats either, but when you start with default players and look at their stats, you will see that most of those players have stats of 60's - 70's. He has TS of 80 and i think ACC of about 71ish. I played him as a sub for Van Den Berg. He was on a red arrow, and managed to keep Agbonlahor and Del Piero at bay for most of his time on the pitch. I also still have him in the squad should I feel the need for him to come on, he will always be ready.

I hope this brief post about cheap players for master league online helps you. In the upcoming week or so, I hope to give some more in depth reviews of PES 2011 MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE - BEST CHEAP PLAYERS.

Thanks for reading and please come back again soon!

MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE - FRUSTRATED!

OK, so I have been working on building my team in MLO. I have been playing as many games as I can.

Until recently, 90% of the players I have come up against in quick match setting for master league online have been higher divisions than me. I of course am in division 5, but have always been just off a promotion place to division 4.

I have worked very hard in my games and still manage to score, although being up against stronger teams, I feel inadequate compared to their strike force. My defence is still mainly default apart from A Hughes who gets me out of many scrapes. This definitely seems the area I need to focus, but also I believe my shooting skills are pretty dire in PES 2011!

Yes I do score in most of my games, but I also concede many. I have plenty of shots, but more often than not, the shots just do not want to go in. Is it the way I shoot, am I bottling it last minute and finding me bumbling the few chances I get of actually winning the game? I have a few options.

Firstly, my shooting needs practice. If I am obviously getting the chances, I need to be putting them away. This is where the training mode comes in. Practice, practice, practice is the only way I can achieve this.

Secondly, I have seen in many places on the web that the scripting issues in PES 2011 can directly affect the result of the game, regardless of the way you play. We have all seen the stumble animations, the way our defenders are pulling away from the opponents as they attack, and also the amount of times I have seen my players look at the ball and do nothing is unbelievable. The other scripting issue I have found, can affect your scoring ability. Perhaps my version of PES 2011 has been set so I can never enjoy a decent run of wins, or maybe when in game, certain strings of events on my behalf can start a pre-set video of my downfall towards the end of the game.

The last thing I would like to mention is the effect your players form arrows can affect the outcome of the game.
If your players are on green arrows for instance, and your opponents are mainly on red (even though they have a much weaker team) I think you can definitely be sure you will not win the game. Either that, or the opponent is cheating somehow.

You can never know how your opponent form arrows are, and the same goes for them, but if you have a bad set of arrows, then you will have a tough match.

Hopefully my next post will be of a more positive nature as I hope to get some decent practice in training mode (an area I have not tried in 2011). Will the form rise and give me a decent chance of promotion, I do not know.

The one new area I did tinker with, was the online match settings. As you know, I was coming up against opponents higher than me about 90% of the time. Tonight I changed the settings and received 5 opponents in div 5! I still didn't win a game, but was glad to come against these opponents.

Until next time folks, good luck to you all in your modes of PES 2011, and I hope you have more positive news than I have of late.

BACK WITH PES 2011 MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

Thanks for visiting the PRO EVO MASTERS LEAGUE!

It's been a while since the last post. Mainly due to life commitments, but also because of the recent downtime activity of the playstation network.

I finally managed to get my PSN account sorted yesterday and have loved getting back online with pro evo.

Since my return to the MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE mode, I have played 7 games. Won 3, lost 3 and drawn 1. Not a bad return and I can still see I have a chance of promotion to division 4.

My team is not the strongest, but I try and make do with what funds I have and whether or not my skill has improved. I know I am not the best player out there, but I do give a good fight during all my matches, no matter how many goals are scored against me.

One thing I have noticed though, is the frequent higher league players that I come up against. I would say that 80% of my opponents, in quick match mode, are in leagues above me. I don't understand why this is the case, but I generally have to work harder with my team to get a decent result.

My current plan is to sell my most valuable striker, LAVEZZI and buying a new striker with decent shot accuracy. I have my eye on ANELKA as he has a 92 shot accuracy. I am currently about 800k off buying him (along with the sale of lavezzi) but have been steadily playing as many games as I can to be able to afford him.

My team has grown into a decent attacking side, mainly due to my urge to leave the defense as default players.
No money has been spent in this area. Hopefully, once I have signed Anelka, I will start to concentrate more on building the back line and possibly aquiring a new keeper.

I will be looking round the transfer market over the weekend to see if I can find other strikers with similar attributes as ANELKA, but for a lower price. If you would like me to list a few, please leave comments below and I will do my best.

Also, if any of you are experiencing problems with the game or generally want to share anything, feel free to leave a comment.

Thanks for your time and another thanks for visiting.

Please come back soon.

PSN RESTORATION

It has now been a month since the PlayStation network was hacked, but many users have now been told of the process for the restoration of accounts. This is the latest message concerning these findings.

Sony Computer Entertainment introduces increased security measures ahead of PSN service restoration.
Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) and Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI, the company) will today begin a phased restoration by region of PlayStation Network and Qriocity services. The phased restoration will be on a country by country basis beginning in the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
The first phase of restored services for North America and Europe will include:
  • Sign-in for PlayStation Network and Qriocity services, including the resetting of passwords.
  • Restoration of online game play across PlayStation 3 and PSP.
  • Playback rental video content, if within rental period, of PlayStation Store Video Store on PS3, PSP and Media Go.
  • Q Music Unlimited, for current subscribers, on PS3 and PC.
  • Access to third party services such as VidZone and MUBI.
  • 'Friends' category on PS3, including Friends List, Chat Functionality, Trophy Comparison, etc.
  • PlayStation Home.
Increased Security Measures
As the result of a criminal cyber attack on the company's data centre located in San Diego, California, USA, SNEI shut down the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services on 20 April 2011, in order for the company to undergo an investigation and make enhancements to the overall security of the network infrastructure.
Working closely with several respected outside security firms, the company has implemented new and additional security measures that strengthen safeguards against unauthorized activity, and provide consumers with greater protection of their personal information.
The company has made considerable enhancements to the data security, including updating and adding advanced security technologies, additional software monitoring and penetration and vulnerability testing, and increased levels of encryption and additional firewalls.
The company also added a variety of other measures to the network infrastructure including an early warning system for unusual activity patterns that could signal an attempt to compromise the network.
"I'd like to send my sincere regret for the inconvenience this incident has caused you, and want to thank you all for the kind patience you've shown as we worked through the restoration process," said Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation.
"I can't thank you enough for your patience and support during this time. We know even the most loyal customers have been frustrated by this process and are anxious to use their Sony products and services again. We are taking aggressive action at all levels to address the concerns that were raised by this incident, and are making consumer data protection a full time, company-wide commitment."
"During the past 18 months, we've seen a dramatic rise in the volume of cyber attacks, their sophistication and their impact on businesses. Thwarting cyber-crime requires an evolutionary approach to security that is well integrated, reduces risk exposure and improves efficiencies," said Francis deSouza, senior vice president, Enterprise Security Group, Symantec. "Today's cyber crime attacks are proving to be more covert, more targeted and better organized than those we've seen in years past. In working with Sony on the move of their data centre, it's clear they're implementing measures to reduce security risks moving forward."
As an additional measure, Fumiaki Sakai, president of Sony Global Solutions Inc. (SGS), has been appointed acting Chief Information Security Officer of SNEI. In addition to his current role at SGS, Mr Sakai, in his role at SNEI, will work to further reinforce overall information security across the company's network infrastructure.
Mr Sakai will lead the recruiting effort in finding a new and permanent CISO for SNEI. As CISO, Mr. Sakai will report to Tim Schaaff, president, SNEI, as well as to Mr Shinji Hasejima, CIO, Sony Corporation.
"While we understand the importance of getting our services back online, we did not rush to do so at the expense of extensively and aggressively testing our enhanced security measures. Our consumers' safety remains our number one priority," Hirai continued. "We want to assure our customers that their personal information is being protected with some of the best security technologies available today, so that everyone can feel comfortable enjoying all that PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have to offer."
The restoration of the services across the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East are beginning, and consumers will be able to enjoy some of the online functionality provided by both the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services. The company expects to have the services fully restored by the end of May 2011.
The company will be offering customers a "Welcome Back" package of services and premium content to all registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity account services.
The details of this program will be available at eu.playstation.com shortly.
Before you start using PlayStation Network again...
In restoring PSN, we have introduced a safety measure which means you will need to update your PlayStation Network account password before you can start using PSN again.

If you've got a PlayStation 3, you can do this by updating to system software version 3.61 and then signing in to PlayStation Network from the XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) Menu once the service is restored in your country. Find out more at eu.playstation.com/ps3psn.

Otherwise, you can change your password by visiting https://store.playstation.com/login.gvm on your PC. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes and if you'd like more help you can follow the step by step guide at eu.playstation.com/psppsn.
Please contact us at uk.playstation.com/psnoutage should you have any additional questions. For more information about the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services intrusion and restoration, keep an eye on PlayStation.Blog at blog.eu.playstation.com, twitter.com/PlayStationEU and eu.playstation.com for the latest updates.

Hopefully there will be more to say about pro evo in the next few days. My time spent with PES 2011 since the crash has been focused towards my offline BAL and Master league modes.

I will be writing a couple of posts in the next few days regarding how I have been getting on.

Please feel free to leave comments as I will reply regularly.

Tell me what you think about Pro evo or how you have been affected by the Network Outage on the PS3.

MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE - WORTH IT?

As I sit here writing this, I am thinking of changing the whole outlook of the posts. My career on my offline master league has no doubt been fun, as is BAL. But the truth is, I have played these modes in all the other versions (where available). The fact of the matter is, YOU don't want to be reading what my progress is against the computer AI. What you really want to read is......................

MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE!

I never played the beta version that was released of PES 2011. I had however seen plenty of posts from people who had. Most seemed to like the game, but you are bound to have a few that didn't.

The general hype that surrounded MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE had pushed me to buy the game and have a dabble!

When I first received the game, I was excited about the new modes that awaited and couldn't wait to get the wrapper off! Although MLO was first on my mind, I did not want to jump into it straight away. I played a season on BAL and started playing a master league (offline) just to get used to the new style of play.

When I did however start MLO, the team you get is the usual default from ML offline mode. The interface was OK to use, and games did not lag like previous versions did.

My first point to make is not to use your original players. Sell a few of the players with most value, until you stop at the 16 player minimum. You should have around 6 million to buy a few decent-ish players that will get your new team off the ground.

I will be making regular points in future posts.

The main reason for this posts is to get you up to date with the blog. You may still see the schedule for blog posting days, but this is all going to change.

With getting bored with a pointless blog about something you DON'T want to hear about, I am hoping to dedicate the remainder of PES 2011 to regular posts about PES 2011 ONLINE MASTER LEAGUE.

Anything about this particular mode will feature. It may be a few of my own experiences, but mainly about all aspects of the MLO.

I hope you keep visiting for regular updates. please bookmark this blog, and subscribe to the feeds!

Many thanks

PRO EVO MASTERS LEAGUE HAS GONE MOBILE!

I have finally done it and decided to get a new phone! It has been 3 years since I last had a new phone and I felt it was time to catch up.

There were lots of reasons for this, but the most important was that I was lagging behind! Badly.
I wanted to be able to keep up with the current trends, but also be able to get more mobile on the web.
My phone is not a smart phone, and I did not want Internet access at the time I got the phone.

Now though, I have been getting myself more web wise, and beginning to have a presence on the Internet. I have been updating this blog regularly (although not as much as I had hoped!) and needed something more mobile that I could use for updating when I want to, not when I get chance to.

Having a new smart phone, I am now able to do this. The plan is to leave more posts on the blog, but reduce the size of each post. I will still be writing more posts that have been a decent length, but not as much as my mobile posts.

Pes is definitely a game that has a lot to talk about, and I aim to do just that. I will be aiming for more posts on all of the modes featured in PES, especially the newer, for instance master league online.

As many of you are mentioning, pes online master league brings many challenges, but also leaves you wondering where the answers are. Come back for more regular posts on this mode and each of the others when I take them more in depth!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you keep playing!

BECOME A LEGEND - SENT OFF!

Welcome back to the Pro Evo Masters League blog.

Today is Tuesday, the day I keep you up to date with my goings on in the world of Become A Legend mode.

My created player, Galarath, has been gradually working through his career with much joy, but has also had some bad moments.

For the first time in BAL, I managed to get suspended after receiving a second yellow card on 90 minutes! I was not happy, especially as Barcelona were next in line to play my current team Deportivo La Caruna.
The team played without me and lost 2-1. If I had been available, I feel I could have made a difference to the final result.

Generally as a rule, I try not to get booked, but with the different styles of referee in each game with PES 2011, there are a few that have a tendency to book most players that go in for a challenge.
I had to take it on the chin and select the 'skip until next call up' feature to get to my next available game. During the waiting period, I noticed that Deportivo had played another league cup game, but lost 1-0. This was not too bad as we had previously won the first leg 5-0. The next opponents were Valencia, who were currently top of the table.

I managed to get a few games in and made a good few performances that earnt me the MOTM awards in every game since my return from suspension. My ratings have been consistently between 7.0 and 7.5. My worst during the season had been 6.0 which was the game I got sent off.

Because of my decent performances, The team had managed a rise in the table and currently lie in a Europa League spot.

I am currently playing in the second half of my first season with the club and things have settled quite well. I have noticed that once your team mates have taken to you because of your good performances, I can press the square button when I am not on the ball (ps3 version) and get my team mates to pressure the opposition and try harder for the ball. Until this time, your team mates tend to play how they want and can quite often run away from the ball without even challenging the attack that comes against them.

I am looking forward to playing the rest of the first season with the club, and maybe even stay another year. My goal tally is a little short on the rest in the league, but I hope things will change now I have my team onside.

Come back tomorrow for the latest on my offline master league campaign, and maybe a little about master league online. I may write a piece at the end of my post, this depends on how much time I have. If I do not, then it will definitely be in Monday's post.

Until next time PES lovers!

A GUIDE TO PES 2011 MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

Today's random post focuses on PES 2011's online master league.

I have had my ups and downs with this mode, but generally I do enjoy playing it.
The whole process of pro evo's master league online is to be able to build a team, starting from the usual line up of pro evolution soccer's own created players, into your very own dream team to play against other PES players.

When you start your online master league, you will find that your players are not very good. Your funds are 500k (you can change the currency, depending on your location).
You use your funds to buy new players.

But here is the bad news! If you think you will be able to buy decent or top class players early on in your master league career, then you are wrong!

To be able to build your team, you must play many matches against players of different levels. To play a match, you must go to next match, much like when you play Master league offline. Once selected, you can choose to play either a quick match, or you can play in a competition. Below explains what happens in each match format.

QUICK MATCH

If you select quick match, you will have to pay a match fee which relates to the value of your team. You will then be paired with another PES player that is available to play at that time.

You are then taken to a pre-match screen which allows you to check the fitness levels of your players and what your gameplan, formation and any other settings are needing to be done before the match. You have a time limit in seconds which appears at the top right area of the screen.

Once each player is happy to play within the time limit, you can both select start match, or wait until the time runs out, in which case the game will automatically start.  You then play your match.

After your match, your points will change accordingly in relation to the result. Your points are used to determine which division you are in and are updated weekly.

You will select return to main menu when finished taking a look at the match stats etc. On the way to the main menu, you will then be given match revenue. Both players receive this regardless of the result, but how much depends on how much your opposition's team is worth, and how well you did against them. I personally managed a 4-2 win against a division 1 player who had the likes of messi, Eto'o, Rooney etc (A team of great value), and I was in division 5 with a very low valued team as I still had many default players in my team. This brought me over 350k revenue. My match fee was about 64k.

COMPETITION

In Competition mode, you pay a one off fee when you start the competition. The fee is generally higher than the quick match fee, but you can play as many games as you can fit into the qualifying period. The qualifying period is 1hr from the opening of that particular competition.

There are 3 different competition modes. Division cup mode, where you play in the cup related to the diviosion you are in at the time, Division cup coach mode, where you let your players play, but coach from the sidelines and make decisions on gameplay and subs etc, and master league open which is a cup that anyone from any division can enter. Be warned though, as there are some very good players that may knock your chances.
You generally want to keep an eye on the time for the next competition, as places in the competitions go fast. There are 400 alocated places, so when all 400 have been taken up, you will be unable to enter. The trick is to enter as soon as the time changes to the opening time of the competition.

In the qualifying round, as I mentioned before, you have about 1hr to play your qualifying games. You will be paired with the next available player, much like quick match. When the qualifying round is up, you will be placed depending on your last 3 results in your qualifying match games. The best advice is to stop playing until the qualifying period is over, if you have managed to win 3 games in a row. The better the results, the more likely you will qualify. Any player that qualifies will be placed in the knockout stages amongst the last 16 players, and like many knockout competitions, teams will go through to each phase dependant on their results.

You may also receive price money whatever position you finish in the tournament.

This is a good way to generate revenue, but you may also lose money if your revenue is less than your match fees. This will only happen if you lose to a team that is a lot lower in value than yours.

So one last piece of advice is to keep playing, no matter what the result is. You will get better as you go along, and eventually, you will be able to buy players.

To my current knowledge, I believe Christiano Ronaldo is about 28 Million to buy, although if you are only receiving about 50k profit per match, you may be waiting a while to buy him. There are other players out there that you may be able to afford sooner, but that is another post.

Until the next time

Enjoy yourselves!

Bob!

BECOME A LEGEND - GALARATH AT DEPORTIVO LA CARUNA

With a new season underway, and a new team, my BaL player Galarath was set for life in La Liga.

Up against some of the worlds top football teams, it was going to be a test to see if his skills had advanced enough for the tough matches to come. From the start, he was a favourite choice with the manager and looked set to be playing full 90 minute matches. His stamina had been gradually building up in the seasons previous, and overall the stats showed he only dipped with his passing skills. Other than passing, Galarath had gained the stat levels needed to raise his ovr to 81.
To get you up to date with my current progress, Galarath had played every league game and had won man of the match in almost every game. The latest fixture was a big match. Deportivo were to face one of Spain's footballing giants, Real Madrid. My biggest fear was they were fielding Cristiano Ronaldo and he was going to be on form, but low and behold, he was actually out of action! And I mean badly! If you see in the picture, he has a red cross against his name, meaning he will be out for a while.

This was definitely good news, but the rest of the team still looked tough to play against. Higuain was on form and had improved stats over the seasons since starting BaL. My team was OK, but still seemed no match for the might of Real.
I took to the challenge and played the game. Luckily for me, Real seemed to have dipped form and misplaced many passes. A half time  0 - 0 scoreline showed some sign of a chance to win the game. Deportivo had a few chances, and Galarath was helping out the team in many ways. By winning the ball back and dropping into defence, to making chances on goal and having a few shots himself.

In the 53rd minute, a golden opportunity arose and Galarath waved for the ball. He was in the middle of the box, as Guardardo ran down the right wing. As the ball came in, you could see Galarath's arm up as he called for the ball. He volleyed the shot straight past the keeper and scored the opener! You can see the goal below.

The game finished 1-0 to Deportivo, and Galarath was once again named man of the match. A huge win for the club, and a great achievement for Galarath.

MASTER LEAGUE - BLACKBURN ROVERS vs CHELSEA FC

The master league is upon us once again

My team, Blackburn Rovers had been promoted from the Npower Championship and was on course to take the Premier league by storm, I hoped!
The first 4 games had seen them take 3 wins and a draw. Not a bad start to the newly promoted club. The players seemed to be taking things in their stride, but a bigger challenge awaited them just round the corner.

Everton and Fulham had been the harder clubs to play, but still gained 4 points between the games. The picture  to the right shows who Rovers were up against next.
Was this to be a giant killing game, or were they to be knocked senseless?

Chelsea were just below Blackburn in 4th place. Neither team had lost a game, so who was to gain another 3 points? Or were both to get even honours?

I started Blackburn's lineup as shown. Chelsea had a decent team to play against and it was not looking to be an easy game. Would my strikers play their socks off or, fumble to the pressure of such a big named club?

One thing was for sure, the players were not going down without a fight. As the many managers in BaL normally say........."were taking on a big team, try and do what you do best lads!"

So the game kicked off with a formidable attack from Chelsea. They were fast, and Drogba was damned hard to get the ball away from. It seemed as though he had stuck the ball to his feet!

In the unlucky minute (you know the one I mean.......just a little superstitious!), I managed to slot a delightful goal into an open net, courtesy of Agbonlahor. It wasn't the first shot in that space of time, but I am sure you will see, it was deserved after the effort leading up to it.

I had taken plenty of shots previous to the goal, but did not manage to net any. The keeper was on a fair bit of form. I knew if I kept persisting, at least 1 shot would go in.

As the game went on, I was 1-0 up at half time. In the second half, I seemed to keep a good rhythm, although Chelsea seemed to lose theirs. Their passes were going a miss and each player seemed to be playing dumb when the ball came near. I wasn't sure of any bugs in the game, or generally if their players were a little tired.

The match was looking towards a win for Rovers as the time ran seriously close to 90 Min's. Then........under a stroke of great misfortune, Chelsea ended up with a lucky scramble in the box, to which Drogba assisted Sturridge who scored the equaliser. As the game was about to restart, The commentary mentioned that they had levelled with so little time remaining. This was very true, as when the match restarted, the final whistle blew. Chelsea had grabbed an extremely late equaliser and robbed Rovers of all 3 points.

Not to worry, at least a point is better than none, plus the rest of the season awaited. I am sure their will be more challenges ahead!

Blackburn managed to stay in 3rd place, but Chelsea had slipped to 7th. I am sure this will change in future weeks, but until then, I am glad to be keeping my place.

Friday's post features Blackburn's first Europa league match against Fiorentina, as well as a few results from the next Premier league games.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for a round-up of Galarath's career in Become a Legend.

BECOME A LEGEND PES 2011 - GALARATH UP TO DATE

After winning the World Cup with England, Galarath had truly deserved the awards he had been given at the end of the season. Not just with AZ, but leading his country to World Cup glory!

Questions were asked regarding his future with AZ and whether or not he was to help with their Champions league campaign.

There were surprisingly no offers on the table during the International tournament for this completely on form individual. He had captured the hearts of many female fans, but also grown a fan base around the world. Did no other team want to try and negotiate a contract for this young star at the top of his game?

The truth is, many believe that the clubs interested were keeping clear and not getting in the way of his form by throwing the offers around. His concentration of the tournament was a must, not just for himself, but his national side and also a chance of giving the scouts something to get greedy on.

Galarath DID end up moving to another club. After leaving AZ, he joined Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga. In the December of the same year (2014), Galarath was informed that he had won the world footballer of the year award! A great achievement and good end to a very successful year.

He notched up 19 goals and 4 assists in 32 games for Borussia. Feeling a little let down, regardless of the goals, he was looking to move away from Germany and join another club. The style of play was not what he had hoped or imagined. When the offers came in, only one stood out. Deportivo la Caruna. They were in the Spanish league which gave me chance to sample some of the larger European clubs and see if Galarath was up to the challenge.
He signed with Deportivo for £2.8 Million on a four year contract. Was he here to stay, or will he end up transferring at the end of his first season like the others? Many have their doubts, but one thing is for sure, he only wants to get better and better!

Thursday's post will get you up to date with his current goings on within his life in La Liga.

PES 2011 - RANDOM POST

Today's post is the first of many random PES related posts for monday's.

I am hoping to be creating plenty of PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER related content each and every monday. There will be no sneak previews before each weeks post, but it may be in the form of screenshots, video's and maybe, just maybe something a little more special than I have ever posted before.

As many of you PRO EVO lovers out there enjoy scoring goals, I am sure you all love to check out other player's goals to see if you can get any hints and tips which may aid your goal scoring opportunities or even just to see if you are playing better than some.

In this weeks featured post on PES randomness, I wanted to share will you a selection of a few of my own goals. Some are from my many master league games, some are from my very enjoyable become a legend games. I also wanted to make the compilation a little special, by adding some music and a few geeky transitions between each goal.
If you like the selection and would like to comment about them, or even comment on any posts on the blog, please feel free to do so. I am happy to see any comments you have to make.

The future of my video content on the pro evo masters league will become more frequent and I may add a regular day for certain 'special' moments within the world of PRO EVO.
Anyways, for today, I will leave you with the video I have attached below and I hope you enjoy watching it.

Please leave your feedback and let me know what you think, along with any suggestions to how you would like to see the blog evolve in the future.

MASTER LEAGUE - LIFE IN THE PREM

After the quick update in the last post, I got to work getting as much info as I could to get you all right up to date with my progress in MASTER LEAGUE mode offline.

I have been making sure not to play any more games until I am totally up to date with my blog postings, then the future of the posts will come as frequent and regular as I have been mentioning recently.

I do love to keep track of my progress within all the modes I play on Pro Evo, but today, as you can see in the schedule is all about my Master League with Blackburn Rovers.

As you may be aware from my last master league post, I have been promoted after winning the Npower Championship and also winning the FA Cup! This was a decent achievement and I was pleased to be back in the top flight.
I haven't had a bad start and as you can see I am currently 3rd and have not lost a game out of four played.
I hope to keep somewhere in the top 7, to ensure a chance of European matches next season.

Since I got promoted, I was informed that I had qualified for the Europa league which was a shock! This is not a bad thing though as I can see more revenue on the way and chance of another trophy. I will again see how things go there.

My team has changed for the better (I hope!). As you can see, I have signed Clichy to play in the left back position. Agbonlahor and Valbuena were also new signings and I hope them to be good assets to the club. From the picture, you can see they are all performing well, which gives me hopes for the next match.

I have spent a little more than I hoped, and signed a defender - Gokhan who is an 88ovr and also promoted a youth team member called Tchite who is on 69 at the moment. Babic was also promoted from the youth team but is rated much higher at 78ovr.
I mainly moved Babic up and signed Gokhan to strengthen my defence, although both have been on constant purple arrows since signing so I haven't played them. Tchite was promoted to grow him into a decent future star with the aim of regularly using him in the first team, but also to ensure a possible future sale. I won't sell until the time is right though. It would be good to get some decent games out of him and see how he progresses.
So now you are a bit more up to date with the progress of the team and can see how they have been doing in the top flight.

I also want to show you how well the players have been doing. In the next few pics, You will see that Fabiano is my star player  who is currently top scorer. With him doing so well, I couldn't let him get all the glory as football is a team effort. With all good results from teams, you should notice how well other players in the side have helped to bring those results. Agbonlahor has also bagged a few goals and is also in the top scorers list.

As you can see from the other picture, Valbuena has shot up to 2nd in the assist leader board with 2 assists.
Not to rain on his parade, and like I said about it being a team effort, you will see 5 other players grabbing 1 assist each.
Hopefully the team can carry on with the form they are showing and I aim to bring a few more decent players when the funds allow.
By doing so, I hope to have enough of a decent side to have good squad rotation and also to have enough on form players on match days to take on the bigger clubs.
The future of the club is essential, and I hope they do well in the first season in the Barclay's premiership!
