PES ML ONLINE

The last few months have certainly opened up my eyes to not only PES and PES ML online, but generally online gaming. I only play 2 games online. PES and MW3. I don't feel that I am the best at either, but one thing I can say is that I play my socks off, to the best I can be at the time (tiredness and illness permitting), and also with utmost respect of any honest players out there.

I have been very pre-occupied, hence the lack of posts these last few months. With this in mind, I do hope to write more and more posts in the future. PES 2013 is very much in my mind and having not let up with playing 2012 (which I will be playing till the release of 2013), I feel my dedication to the franchise will be much better next season.

But.......back to this seasons instalment. I have undoubtedly been through a journey of thrills and heartache. My funds have been tested, but duly noted and prioritised in order to buy better players. My skills have improved (not quite as much as some encountered players), but most of all I have actually had some fun with PES 2012.

My current status within the ML online leagues is that of a positive one. Even with a team value (including disposable funds) of approx 115 mil, I have managed to reach a Division 1 ranking. This was an important part of my ML online campaign this season, but there is still one that leaves me let down.

Back when 2012 was released, as with every player, I ran up a loss to win ratio of about 80 matches. Over time, I have managed to break this down to the 40-45 match gap, but still, the positive numbers elude me.

After being stuck with a team of 70-75 mil, I had to re-think my funding strategy and tried to work with players for longer, rotating players health, but most importantly..........not renewing contracts when the form was due to drop. This meant I managed to sell players for more than I paid and also managing me to save more each match.

I could actually manage to save for more well known players!

This is something I was not able to do in 2011.

Players I managed to buy:

Eto'o
Villa
Pato
Aguero

......They were not all at the same time, but were in that order. Some helped my form improve, some did not do much. But I think it depends on each human player as some in-game players work better than others. Out of the list for me were Pato, Villa then Aguero. Pato was phenomenal, Villa did score a few but let me down in other areas, And Aguero was very strong and good at getting the ball but did not play as well as I had hoped.

I still have time to play more games and unlike many other people, I am giving the 2013 demo a miss. Until the release, I will continue to play and improve my team, but this could lead to my downfall in the ranks.

I will be writing a post on my final standings and results, and possibly a few more posts in between, but until then........

Happy gaming and good luck!

PES 2012 MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

Oh the joys of playing this game...............but also the damn, awkward moments!

I have played PES 2012 ML online a fair bit over the last few months, but the last week has trailed off a bit. The reason for this is as follows.....

1) I did well
2) I got promoted from div 5 straight to div 1!
3) Once in div 1, I won a few games!
4) It then went downhill!

I had managed to get up to 560+ points! This was just after I had been promoted! Then I had a problem.
I had always had my option setting to 'similar level opponent'. My team was not the most expensive team, but I had used them well to get where I was. The problems I now faced, were the teams I came up against.

With being in the top flight in master league online, pretty much all the players I now faced, were full strength teams. They had a full squad, on full energy levels and on top form. In addition to this, they also had a wide selection of subs to choose from who were also ALL on top energy and form!

So the scenario was......not easy!

I had the option of being on a 'similar level' setting with all of these full strength teams, or the other option of 'any level' player, which could also end up giving me an even higher rated opponent as my luck would undoubtedly give.

And there we have it! This is exactly how the scenario in my downfall began! I stayed on the similar level strategy, only to end up losing every game (not by much I may add), then switching to the any opponent strategy and facing higher opponents who mightily trounced me!

I now lie back in div 4, on around the 420 point mark, but I do hope to regain my composure and rise up again. I think the only option is to keep trying to gain funds, no matter what the result and try to buy some higher top class players at 20m+. All the players that caused my downfall seemed full of these (not one lower priced player in sight!), and I believe the way the games engine works, would favour me better in these situations when the team is right. Over all, the achievement gained from being such a low priced team was brilliant in its own right as I have managed to defeat quite a few 300m+ teams with my lowly 50-70m team, but to stay up there is the real issue.

Will this happen before the next instalment of the franchise? Or will I be destined to stay in the lower divisions?

This of course is another story for another time.

Thanks for reading fellow pro-evo-ians!

HOW TOUGH IS MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

Hi to all you PES lovers out there! I write this post in a saddened state. My previous posts had included some decent advice from which I had utilised whilst hoping to progress my ML team into the top ranks of master league online. Unfortunately, the era of good fortune had beckoned a willingness of doom and gloom, of which I did not see coming!

From the change in the style of my team, I had managed to notch up a decent run of wins which out of a run of 20 matches, 70 % were that of a positive nature. I was beaming with happiness.

From a run down team with a rating of around the 380 mark and a division 5 placement, I managed to propel the team to a div 4 promotion for last weeks division update. Since then, and up until Saturday night (7th April), The rating grew to a very pleasing 512 points. If this had stayed at its current value, I would have hopefully gained div 3 status! Woo hoo!

But this is quite clearly not how this week ended, and I am 100% sure that my team has fallen back into div 5 classification. Sunday night started with a positive venture into an unknown abyss of opposition. My rating had decided to turn on its head and match me up with not 1 but 5 div 1 opponents! All of which harboured the very best in player ability, but also form and health. I was however, going to give my mightiest of strength and battle each match to the very end.

It was not enough!

The similar level setting had once again run its course and did not help my campaign at all! I lost every match! By at least 2 goals, but one especially, by a 6 goal margin! The outlook was bleak, indeed.

But all was not lost.

I managed one match without conceding a goal. My 6th match of the evening, and a very tiring one at that. I was run down and fed up. My hands were aching, and my team was ready to quit. I faced a division 3 player. Their team was worth over 100 mil more than mine, but I had speed, and energy on my side. His players were knackered before the kick off and most were blue arrows.

I won 7-0!

My highest scoring game and best game ever in ML online! But I decided to call it a day.

Today was started with enthusiasm, much like the night before. I was ready for whatever opposition I faced, but the onslaught was possibly expected as it seemed I go up.........then down, pretty much all the time!
My dominance a few nights before was the best I managed, with the decent win in between, but tonight, although with div 3 and 4 opponents, were much harder to play against. I lost every game! 4 in all! My rating is around 420 now, my funds low, but on the positive side, my team is OK for contract renewals. I have a few players lined up for transfers when I next play, after checking their form. Will I manage to stay above 400? Or will I revert to a lowly 300+ div 5 position?

This of course is another story! And will be updated in my next post.

What has your form been like? Have you a winning strategy? Or do you manage to grow a team well to earn more? Whatever your story, we would like to hear from you! Please leave post your story in the comment section below or email me at proevobob@hotmail.co.uk.

HOW TO BECOME BETTER IN MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

It's a question most of us are faced when we start to play master league online. Some players are naturally adapted to the whole style of online play, whichever game or mode they are in. But for the most of us, it can be a very hard and daunting task to become one of the great players, or even making our way into the top flight.

So what are the best ways to become better in master league online?

Well the truthful, one-line answer would probably be to win games. This way you will earn more money and therefore be able to buy better players for your squad, effectively becoming the better player. But isn't this a bit too vague an answer??? Of course it is! The fact about PES ML Online is that there are many ways to become a better player. It just depends which ways are better suited to you and whether or not you know what these are.

For an example, if you were a player that preferred a fast style of play, much the same as Barca, you would effectively buy some fast players, set your team style to speed and away you go. But for this to work, you still need each of the other factors such as stamina, fatigue, form, etc, to be maintained and carefully monitored.

There are factors to consider for every team which need to be nurtured before and after each game. Then you will have to work out how you need the team to work for you. Once you have this and work hard to keep it going, the results should show the more positive form.

I have gone through many changes with my team over the weeks and months since the game was released. I think I have now neared the 500 match mark in MLO and have steadily gone between div 4 and 5 (currently in div 4). With this in mind, it has only been the past month or so that I have really been achieving greater success. Saying this, my team is only worth about 30-35 mil (£'s), but still I continue to amaze myself when I am paired with a div 1 opponent and manage a few wins.

My main changes to the way I manage my team have been the following.......

1) I check my player's for sign of fatigue before each match

2) Players with fatigue are rotated with fresh/rested players

3) When I first sign in online to play a few games, I check the team for losses in form and contract status.

4) Players with blue arrows or below are sold (unless a long standing player awaiting form to come back), and a new player in this position is bout with the funds gained, plus a little of any accrued fund

5) Sometimes when many players are on a dip of form (blue arrow or lower), I try to spread them out amongst players on top form, and/or play them first half and swap for players on top form in second half.

6) Playing a much higher rated opponent (after checking their teams form and team itself), I make sure I defend on either defensive or super-defensive level (for the first half - A MUST!).

7) If I have a team whose stats are nearly all on form and contracts are up to date (3-4 match remaining minimum), I save funds till my earliest contract renewal being 3 games then use the accrued funds to buy a new player. The player will be an addition to whichever position is most needed after checking the game plan and fatigue levels of current players. This allows me to have at least 3 games left for saving funds for contract renewals of a few players or a longer contract for a more long standing player.

These are just a few that come to mind, but hopefully I will have more to come over time.

How do you manage your team? Do you play a speed team like myself, or a balanced team?
Whichever way you play and manage, we would like to hear from you!

MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE - A NEW ERA?

Welcome back once again to THE PRO EVO MASTERS LEAGUE! To those of you that are new to the site, I welcome you also.

The full emphasis on today's post is MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE in PES 2012. It shocks me to say this, but I have probably had the most fun playing this mode recently, but also feel the element of PES 5 back in my system once again.

Some people may not be thinking the same way I am about this version of PES, but compared to last years dismal effort of a game, this version has definitely brought me back some memories of the better eras. I haven't however always thought this was the case, especially a few weeks into playing it. For me, this week has seen a turning point in my campaign for online domination.
At one point in my playing career, I could easily beat other players with my speed and dribbling skills, but over the years, something happened to the game itself. My skills faded into the depths of oblivion, leaving with me the remnants of a forgotten time. Was I ever going to reclaim glory for myself? Or have I had my time and with it leave the legacy to the new breed of players?

Well for some reason, I had a brainwave. I have used many tactics and strategies over the years. My skills added to those factors, allowing for multiple winning streaks. But the past few versions have been seen to blow up the amount of tactical changes you can make or adjust, with added skill combinations and newer player stats.

This year, I tried to implement my usual strategies and set-ups. They seemed to work on certain games, but then, low and behold, the opponent always gets their fill and steals the show. I was all but lost and felt like the breaking point of my campaign was about to snap! I had written many articles to compliment the achievements I had earned from a lower valued team, with added suggestions from fellow players, but there was always going to be a limit to the help I could give others in the same situation.

The recent events have shocked me beyond comprehension. All I made was one little change to my team and the series of matches that followed were truly amazing! From the last 6 games, I had one 5 and lost one. Not bad you say, but the real factor in these games, was the opponents I faced.
Do you remember the times I have written about the setting that can be changed to pair you with similar level opponents? Well this does not always work! In my case, 70% of the opponents I end up being matched with were div 3 or higher (I am in div 5) and their teams were worth well over 200 million, compared to my 30 million team.

What is the one thing I changed to counter the many losses I had conceded? Changing my team to a SPEED orientated team from the usual BALANCED side. Why did this affect the play so much? Well for a start, My faster players with TOP SPEED  stats went from around 86-87 up to 92-96! Having 5 attacking players with added speed stats boosted the hell out of them!

I honestly thought that some opponents I had were cheating, but the truth is, they just had the speed based team with fast players. The same players I had, but seemed to run like they had a firework stuffed in some awkward place!

So the moral of the post is that if you prefer to play with a fast team, then change your setting. Your low value team could certainly come up trumps. Will my fortune last however? We will see!

BEST CHEAP ATTACKING PLAYERS IN PES 2012 MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

The problems most PES 2012 ML online players have, is which players to choose that are cheap. Most of us obviously want to buy some decent attacking players that can have a beneficial effect on our match results. I am sure I am not not alone when I say that there are plenty of times you will end up being drawn against another player with the likes of Pato, Rooney, Eto', Forlan, Villa etc. This of course can be a very daunting experience, especially when your own team does not even compare statistically to your opponent.

I have been tinkering about a bit with my own ML team quite a bit recently, but really wanted to get a proper feeling of how well a team can perform on a budget. Obviously, my main aim is to become a decent player, as well as be able to compete with the big boys. But the challenge I have given myself is to try and perform on a budget. Be able to grow my team and of course, WIN matches in ML online, just by buying cheaper players and using them effectively.

My current up to date progress has seen me rise in ranks and divisions from division 5 all the way to division 3. This is where I have been hovering over the last week. My points have gone down, but also gone up, leaving me in a position to now think of my next move. I have not been posting much, due to the urge to compete with the budget players and try to gain a decent status.

After all of the highs and lows of this challenge, I am happy to say that it is possible to compete with budget players, but only up to a certain level. To get further, I believe is another campaign altogether.

So here is the brief story of how I changed my team and which players I found to be the best cheap attacking players in ML online.

With a whole team reshape on the cards, I had to be brutal. I decided to sell my non-performing players until I was down to my last 16. With the funds I gained, I checked my game plan to see which positions were needing to be strengthened. My keeper had to go, but I decided to spend between 2-3 million on one. The defence needed some tweaks here and there, but generally was not too bad. Each defender had a 70-76 ovr and was reasonably priced at about 1-2 million each. Playing with a 4-3-3 formation, I suggested a CM would be a good choice and spent around 2 million on Lodi. He has been performing well, and consistently averages an orange or red form arrow. For the RMF, LMF, RWF and LWF positions, my choices would be from Utaka, Obemyang ( not totally convinced the spelling is right!), Mateus, Musa and  Biabany ( slightly more at around 4mil). SS and CF positions would be chosen from C Benitez, Moulongui (again another spelling not so sure!), Mphela, Van De Mirch, Utaka (when not being used on the wing).

From these attacking players, especially when most are on good form arrows, can bring very good results. Al range from between 900k, to 4mil. My team at the time I was promoted to division 3 was around the 36million mark. I enjoyed my best winning streak at 6 games, but most importantly, managed to fend off some pretty decent D1-D3 players.

I hope to strengthen my defence more to allow some pace. This will hopefully catch some of the onslaught of the world class players, but until that time, I hope to keep playing and will reveal any other helpful tips along the way!

MLO - THE PERFECT STARTING TEAM

What's up lads, I am hooked on MLO! I think it is an outstanding game mode, possibly one of the greatest modes in any game I have ever played. It is addictive and very rewarding when playing well and dangerously frustrating when things go against you! While there are some faults with the game, I am not going to go into in this post. That will be another day. Today’s post is about the most discussed topic on all pes forums. I see people constantly ask, how can I build a highly competitive team for the cheap? Here's my answer in detail.

The hardest part of MLO is buying players and unearthing gems. One player can make a massive difference and can be the kick start your team needs to turn draws into wins. I am going to give my advice on building a team for newcomers and hopefully help those who are struggling to even draw games no matter how good they play. Oh ya, and the best part is the Starting 11 costs 15 Million in total!

For newcomers, I advise using up the default players contracts as whatever you make (even losing) is pure profit. When the contracts are up, begin building, buy each replacement per position selling. Form plays a massive part in players. Check the players before buying or else replace with the subs I provided.

This team can mix it with any team in Div. 5 and at a stretch, Div.4. It will work for you. Model the team on Barcelona, with DMF and CMF and AMF. Wide players pace must be exploited also. You have a safe goalkeeper, bombarding fullbacks and solid spine in the team. All the players are tall and strong or small and rocket fast. You have a good enforcer in Meyler and passer and all rounder in Fahey and the sublimely talented Cabalaard. Cabalaard is unbelieveable, just look at his stats, it’s a steal. Barretto is amazing too.

This team can be used if you starting out your first few games or if you are struggling in Div 5/4. It is amazing who you can unearth in this game for practically nothing.

Let me know how ye get on and what ye think!
