PES 2013 MLO

Hey guys (and gals!). Its been  very eventful last few days, with plenty of ups and downs. As many of you are aware, Konami has given every PES player with a registered MLO team (before 6th November) an extra 10m Euros! This has been due to the problems with the last update with the game. 

I would like to know how you all have spent your extra cash and how you have been progressing since in PES 2013 MLO.

I have managed to give all my 25 players some extra contract renewals and still have plenty left in the kitty for emergencies. At the present time, I am happy with my team. They seem to be working well together, but most of all getting results! I managed to drop from near the 400 point rating, down to around 320, but have managed to rise once again to around 370. This being said, I still have about £20m in the bank to play with since gaining an extra £5m from a special match which I won 5-3! 

I hope to gain an extra few mil to buy Alexis Sanchez as his dribbling skills and speed are awesome! I have always wanted to bring him into the team over the last few years, but have never had the funds to do so until now.

PES 2013 MLO - OMG

Hey guys! Its been a bit eventful over the last couple of weeks. I feel like I have really got into my stride with PES 2013 MLO. But there have been complications! Firstly, I did have a bit of a bad run with my games (although they did improve), but the worst thing was the 2.0 update! 

On the day of the update, I was really looking forward to playing MLO. I signed in on my ps3, loaded PES 2013 and found that there was a new update. O.K, I thought, no biggie, so I went to DL the update. It seemed like it would not download. I tried to log into MLO, but because I could not DL the update, I was not at the right update to play online! So I tried again, and again, and again! Did it work? NO!

So that was where I left it. I realised I would not be playing MLO that night. The next night, I actually managed to DL the update, and log into MLO once installed! YAY! 

I think that because I was so frustrated with not being able to play online, I could not begin to regain my form. I managed to play a few games in the aftermath of the phantom PES services, but no wins for me! I was distraught! Almost to the extent of shedding a tear down my red cheeks!

Plodding along,m I then went and tried again the following night. My games seemed better, but still, I was being drawn against players with the likes of A class players! Similar level? My Arse! IT was tough to say the least, but I am a determined so and so and with try, try and try again!

So far my win to loss games are about 40 wins to 67 losses on MLO (at the time of writing this post.)

The most important part that I want to write today though, is the fact that I (against all odds), beat a very good player!

PES ML ONLINE

The last few months have certainly opened up my eyes to not only PES and PES ML online, but generally online gaming. I only play 2 games online. PES and MW3. I don't feel that I am the best at either, but one thing I can say is that I play my socks off, to the best I can be at the time (tiredness and illness permitting), and also with utmost respect of any honest players out there.

I have been very pre-occupied, hence the lack of posts these last few months. With this in mind, I do hope to write more and more posts in the future. PES 2013 is very much in my mind and having not let up with playing 2012 (which I will be playing till the release of 2013), I feel my dedication to the franchise will be much better next season. 

But.......back to this seasons instalment. I have undoubtedly been through a journey of thrills and heartache. My funds have been tested, but duly noted and prioritised in order to buy better players. My skills have improved (not quite as much as some encountered players), but most of all I have actually had some fun with PES 2012. 

My current status within the ML online leagues is that of a positive one. Even with a team value (including disposable funds) of approx 115 mil, I have managed to reach a Division 1 ranking. This was an important part of my ML online campaign this season, but there is still one that leaves me let down. 

Back when 2012 was released, as with every player, I ran up a loss to win ratio of about 80 matches. Over time, I have managed to break this down to the 40-45 match gap, but still, the positive numbers elude me. 

After being stuck with a team of 70-75 mil, I had to re-think my funding strategy and tried to work with players for longer, rotating players health, but most importantly..........not renewing contracts when the form was due to drop. This meant I managed to sell players for more than I paid and also managing me to save more each match. 

I could actually manage to save for more well known players!

This is something I was not able to do in 2011.

Villa

Pato

Aguero

......They were not all at the same time, but were in that order. Some helped my form improve, some did not do much. But I think it depends on each human player as some in-game players work better than others. Out of the list for me were Pato, Villa then Aguero. Pato was phenomenal, Villa did score a few but let me down in other areas, And Aguero was very strong and good at getting the ball but did not play as well as I had hoped. 

I still have time to play more games and unlike many other people, I am giving the 2013 demo a miss. Until the release, I will continue to play and improve my team, but this could lead to my downfall in the ranks. 

I will be writing a post on my final standings and results, and possibly a few more posts in between, but until then........

BEST CHEAP ATTACKING PLAYERS IN PES 2012 MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

 The problems most PES 2012 ML online players have, is which players to choose that are cheap. Most of us obviously want to buy some decent attacking players that can have a beneficial effect on our match results. I am sure I am not not alone when I say that there are plenty of times you will end up being drawn against another player with the likes of Pato, Rooney, Eto', Forlan, Villa etc. This of course can be a very daunting experience, especially when your own team does not even compare statistically to your opponent. 

I have been tinkering about a bit with my own ML team quite a bit recently, but really wanted to get a proper feeling of how well a team can perform on a budget. Obviously, my main aim is to become a decent player, as well as be able to compete with the big boys. But the challenge I have given myself is to try and perform on a budget. Be able to grow my team and of course, WIN matches in ML online, just by buying cheaper players and using them effectively.

My current up to date progress has seen me rise in ranks and divisions from division 5 all the way to division 3. This is where I have been hovering over the last week. My points have gone down, but also gone up, leaving me in a position to now think of my next move. I have not been posting much, due to the urge to compete with the budget players and try to gain a decent status.

After all of the highs and lows of this challenge, I am happy to say that it is possible to compete with budget players, but only up to a certain level. To get further, I believe is another campaign altogether.

So here is the brief story of how I changed my team and which players I found to be the best cheap attacking players in ML online.

With a whole team reshape on the cards, I had to be brutal. I decided to sell my non-performing players until I was down to my last 16. With the funds I gained, I checked my game plan to see which positions were needing to be strengthened. My keeper had to go, but I decided to spend between 2-3 million on one. The defence needed some tweaks here and there, but generally was not too bad. Each defender had a 70-76 ovr and was reasonably priced at about 1-2 million each. Playing with a 4-3-3 formation, I suggested a CM would be a good choice and spent around 2 million on Lodi. He has been performing well, and consistently averages an orange or red form arrow. For the RMF, LMF, RWF and LWF positions, my choices would be from Utaka, Obemyang ( not totally convinced the spelling is right!), Mateus, Musa and  Biabany ( slightly more at around 4mil). SS and CF positions would be chosen from C Benitez, Moulongui (again another spelling not so sure!), Mphela, Van De Mirch, Utaka (when not being used on the wing).

From these attacking players, especially when most are on good form arrows, can bring very good results. Al range from between 900k, to 4mil. My team at the time I was promoted to division 3 was around the 36million mark. I enjoyed my best winning streak at 6 games, but most importantly, managed to fend off some pretty decent D1-D3 players.

I hope to strengthen my defence more to allow some pace. This will hopefully catch some of the onslaught of the world class players, but until that time, I hope to keep playing and will reveal any other helpful tips along the way!

BOBS MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

Hi all, it's Bob here again!

I have been so caught up with life, fun and PES that I have lost track with posting here in THE PRO EVO MASTERS LEAGUE blog! My apologies go out to all of you that visit, and also to those that visit regularly.

So first of all, I thought I would fill you in on some of the new things that have happened with the blog and also what will be happening from here on in.

Some of the regular visitors may have noticed that the look of the blog has changed. I have changed the layout, design and also added a new header at the top. Within the header, you will probably notice that there is also a new addition to the team as well. I have not yet formally introduced the new member of the team, so here goes.....

Please welcome "THE MIDNITE KID" ! A fellow PES enthusiast, who loves nothing better than getting stuck into a good game of PRO EVO, especially online. He plays PES on the XBOX 360 and lives in Ireland. You will be seeing more from him, so if you have any questions regarding PES on the 360, feel free to ask any questions by posting comments on his posts. I play on the PS3, so in the same regards, please direct any PS3 related PES questions to me in my posts. In general though, any questions will be answered by either of us.

We are currently working together to bring you a better blog relating to PES and hope that if you have any ideas, you can let us know. This will help improve the blog for us, but most importantly for all you Die-hard players out there.

I have been currently playing around with 3 modes in PES 2012. ML online, ML offline and BAL. Obviously, I cannot play all of these at the same time, and can only make so much progress with each one, but I wanted to make sure I had a decent start before 2011 was out.

In Master league Online, I have grown my team from the lowly 15mil default, to a fairly decent 38mil force. I have not yet had much real luck with my strikers, but from the funds I could use, there have been a few that have filled the slots when on form. I have strengthened my defence as much as my funds would allow and bought better players  by selling current 'out of contract' players and using some accrued income.

Income from games has grown from 600k (loss), 800k (draw), and 1.2m (win), to 900k (loss), 1.2m (draw), and 1.8m (win). So to round up, the more expensive your team, the more money you will receive, regardless of how the game ends. I think it has been programmed like this, to allow you to TRY and keep some of your more expensive players, even on a losing streak.

Sometimes it is hard to build your team further, especially on a run of defeats and when your players are all seeking new contracts at the same time, but you can allow for this by buying new and extra players when contracts run out in these positions. Other players may have different suggestions, but this seems to have worked for me.

I have not played anywhere near the same amount of games as most players have, due to concentrating on the other modes from time to time. This has left me undeterred though and I am quite happy sitting in division 4 with my current team. I have good and bad days when my run of games leaves me happy or not, but I always manage to bounce back from a run of defeats. I try and set my matches to play against a similar level, but instead of doing this, the game seems to give me a much higher division opponent with a team worth at least 10 times the amount of my own. I believe it all comes down to the rating which can change dramatically with a win/loss streak. This is wrong and should be addressed by Konami, and I am sure going to contact them about it. The similar level should be linked with the statistical value of the team and monetary value, not with the ratings. Seeing players with a team of top class players in a division 4 cup or even div 5 is wrong, because those players may have purposely lost games so they can easily win cups and gain money.

Is any of this fair? I will let you be the judge of that, as you know I have my own thoughts.

But without sounding too defeated, I will keep trying, and keep playing. I play honestly and will try my best. I am not the best player in the world, but I always like a challenge, especially a fair one. What is the point in cheating?

MLO - THE PERFECT STARTING TEAM

What's up lads, I am hooked on MLO! I think it is an outstanding game mode, possibly one of the greatest modes in any game I have ever played. It is addictive and very rewarding when playing well and dangerously frustrating when things go against you! While there are some faults with the game, I am not going to go into in this post. That will be another day. Today’s post is about the most discussed topic on all pes forums. I see people constantly ask, how can I build a highly competitive team for the cheap? Here's my answer in detail.  

The hardest part of MLO is buying players and unearthing gems. One player can make a massive difference and can be the kick start your team needs to turn draws into wins. I am going to give my advice on building a team for newcomers and hopefully help those who are struggling to even draw games no matter how good they play. Oh ya, and the best part is the Starting 11 costs 15 Million in total!

For newcomers, I advise using up the default players contracts as whatever you make (even losing) is pure profit. When the contracts are up, begin building, buy each replacement per position selling. Form plays a massive part in players. Check the players before buying or else replace with the subs I provided.  

This team can mix it with any team in Div. 5 and at a stretch, Div.4. It will work for you. Model the team on Barcelona, with DMF and CMF and AMF. Wide players pace must be exploited also. You have a safe goalkeeper, bombarding fullbacks and solid spine in the team. All the players are tall and strong or small and rocket fast. You have a good enforcer in Meyler and passer and all rounder in Fahey and the sublimely talented Cabalaard. Cabalaard is unbelieveable, just look at his stats, it’s a steal. Barretto is amazing too.  

This team can be used if you starting out your first few games or if you are struggling in Div 5/4. It is amazing who you can unearth in this game for practically nothing.

Hello everybody and welcome to my first article. I have wanted to write for a long time and thankfully, after getting in touch with ProEvoBob about the guest writer position, here I am. So a little bit about myself. My name is Barry and I’m from Ireland. I love video games, ever since my first Atari was ripped open from under the Christmas tree, it’s been both a hobby and a passion of mine. Since then it has been a rapid incline to the wonders of next gen graphics, seamless online play and more quality games than you have time to play them in! Regarding Pes, I’m not going to get into the history of Pes and which games were the best and worst. Not in this article anyway. Each player have their own favourite edition complete with nostalgic memories and that’s the beauty of Pes. So on we go!

Pes has been a long-time love affair that has sometimes broke my heart and made me question my loyalty but mostly, has been the one game in the last decade or so that has always taken up an almost permanent residence in my console. Sometimes it has been hard to explain why this is. Oh sure, Pes is a brilliant game and the first editions ISS/ISS 2 revolutionized the sports genre. The graphics, shooting, originality, etc, were unparalleled. Pro Evolution Soccer really captured the beautiful game and showed the promise of a real authentic experience from the comfort of your own home offering hardcore gamers and footy fans alike, the most realistic football game on the market. But Pes is something more than addictive and compelling. Take away the gloss and strip it to the core and then you will see it has a feeling about it, almost a personality hidden in the code. It is known to many as “That Pes Feeling”.

I believe Master League is one of the greatest modes in any game in the history of video games. I mean, for a game to take you on a roller coaster ride through the trials and tribulations of a fictional team filled with fictional players and make them cult figures is amazing. How many people have secured promotion from D2 on the last day of the season? How many times has your favourite player popped up with an injury time winner? Every player has a different journey, an ever changing tale weaved by hours of immersion and a sprinkling of Pes Magic. Names like Ivarov, Ruskin, Palmieri, Stremer, Castolo, and Minanda. The attachment to these players in Pes forums and communities borders on the fanatic. One mention of my dislike of Castolo rewards me with tales of an all conquering Ronaldo-esque goal scoring machine from another player who says he has won the treble with his Castolo leading the line. Another claims he scored 40 goals a season on top player with his Castolo. Another says he has trained him to play in goals! Fact or fiction, it doesn’t matter. The stories in Pes are often as good as the game play. So I want to know yours. 

Personally, my favourite player currently goes by the name of Stein. He has been known by many names, Hudee, and then Harty. But those names are alien to me for I have christened him Mini Roy Keane. I still tell friends about the time he practically got me up to Division 1 in Pes 4 scoring 11 goals in my promotion bid. I remember it like yesterday. He was a rock in midfield all season and got injured for the last 3 games. I was two points behind promotion and playing old firm green! They were ahead of me. I bring an injured Mini Roy Keane on in the last 15 mins with both teams locked at 1-1. In the last few mins, a barely able to move Stein, gets the ball, dribbles in and out like a drunkard staggering and flattened! Penalty. I make a decision. Do you I let the injured man who is in agony take his own penalty or entrust someone else? I knew what I needed to do. It was never a question really. It blasts into the top corner. The Irishman has done it. Over the next few seasons he became a tank for me. Even now, he resides in my MLO team keeping big name stars warming the bench.

There are thousands of stories to be told and now I look forward to hearing some of your favourite memories. They are what set Pes apart. Thanks and I can’t wait to read all your comments.
