PES 2013 MLO

Hey guys (and gals!). Its been  very eventful last few days, with plenty of ups and downs. As many of you are aware, Konami has given every PES player with a registered MLO team (before 6th November) an extra 10m Euros! This has been due to the problems with the last update with the game.

I would like to know how you all have spent your extra cash and how you have been progressing since in PES 2013 MLO.

I have managed to give all my 25 players some extra contract renewals and still have plenty left in the kitty for emergencies. At the present time, I am happy with my team. They seem to be working well together, but most of all getting results! I managed to drop from near the 400 point rating, down to around 320, but have managed to rise once again to around 370. This being said, I still have about £20m in the bank to play with since gaining an extra £5m from a special match which I won 5-3!

I hope to gain an extra few mil to buy Alexis Sanchez as his dribbling skills and speed are awesome! I have always wanted to bring him into the team over the last few years, but have never had the funds to do so until now.

I wish you guys all the best in your online campaigns and hope you can share some of your stories here at the pro evo masters league.

Thanks for reading

PES 2013 MASTER LEAGUE ONLINE

I know, I know! It has been soooo long, but yes, I am finally back!

I had been having a break from PES 2012 and any other form of gaming as I was writing a book and kinda got engrossed. But alas I have found my stride and wound up back into PES in the form of 2013.

Well what can I say? Have I found this instalment better, worse, the same or quite frankly, awful?

The truth........honestly........I like it! There are of course a few niggly bits and bobs, but generally, the game play is so much better. I can pretty much pass how I want, set up the team how I want and score how I want.

So how has my progress been? On MLO? The most important part of my PES routine?

Not bad, but not the best.

As some of you may know, you play a few games at the start of forming your team. This then results in where you get placed in the point system. I was not bad, but not great. I ended up with about 320 points which is professional. I started my full campaign and slowly started to win a few, but also lose some. Then I hit a slump!

I dropped down to a miserable 187 points! I lost that many in a row, it severely knocked my confidence in my skill as well as my love of the game. My team was depleted in strength, skill and form. Apart from my full team, which was majorly tired, I only had 5 other players. Four of which were out of contract (all default players). My initial though was to file for bankruptcy, but then I had a little brainwave.

I proceeded to sell one player and buy one player at a time. Before I knew it, my team was at full health, most of all, with fit subs!

My next step was to try and win some games. What came next was not what I expected. I ended up winning the next 9 games on the trot! My team was fully benefited with full contracts and a few extra players. I did go to sleep that night feeling very happy and dreamt of achieving something good in the months to come.

The next day, I went to sign in to MLO and it was time for the update. 2.0. Ooh I thought, all the things Konami were promising were finally here! So I went to update. "communication error" it said! I could not download the update, nor could I play MLO!

Well I was not happy, but then again, after my winning streak, I thought I would have a little break and try again the next day.

I was in for a shock. The next 30 games I played, resulted in me dropping from 317 points (which I had worked so hard to achieve), all the way down to 206! Not happy! Especially as the players that beat me, were either waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to good, statistically, or really crap teams! No matter what I did, even with my players on red or orange arrows, I could not play the same as I had in my winning streak. They did not move the same, shoot the same, or pass the same. They actually seemed like 'worse than default players'!

I have actually given up for the day, but I do hope my form improves, or at least my team's form as I was really angry about it!

Well that is pretty much from me at this time, but I do hope to be giving the blog a new look soon, as well as some more posts on regular occasions. Please subscribe or at least come back and visit and I wish you all the best of luck in your campaigns!

Catch ya laters peeps!

ONLINE MASTER LEAGUE - IT'S NOT OVER YET!

Since I wrote the last post, I had made myself think I was not going to play PES 2011 again. I went to sleep that night and as far as I had told myself, this was to be the last post, but also the last time I ever played Pro Evo!

Well, I woke up today and still had that feeling, but something did not seem right. I went ahead with my day and this afternoon decided to give PES another go.

Am I glad I did you say? Well yes and no. I actually managed to have some decent games and have climbed the point rankings to 486. I am pretty sure this is where I needed to be for promotion to division 4. I did however have a few silly games against some middle eastern opponents (I do not know why these always seem to give me and others problems).

You see, generally I go into a game with the urge to play my socks off and try my best. Whether or not they have a better team or not.
The problem I really, really get P*%x*d off with is me having a team that has decent players, and on red arrows, and the opponent is on fully default players that manage to run rings round my players. Yes I am talking about the middle eastern players. I do not know why this is, but you really grind my gears.

They seem to have the ability of players like Messi and Ronaldo, but on paper (statistically) should not be able to do the things they do in the game. I mean come on!!!! Having a player like Agbonlahor who has like 97 top speed and acceleration, running against Van Den Berg. Side by side with Agbonlahor (on red arrows!) and yet Van Den Berg actually catches him and takes the ball! Here is the clincher though, he catches him, takes the ball, launches a counter attack and the other player scores. Now I don't believe it is the scripting of the game in this instance, just something to do with CHEATING! There was also a lot of juddering with the screen when I seemed to have the ball, especially if I was on the verge of a shot.

Now I as a player have a rule about playing games or competing. I try my best, but if I do not win, I feel I am generally beaten. If I win however, I feel a sense of achievement, as you do in these situations. I do not and have never cheated whenever I have played or competed. Why? Because what is the point? If you are going to cheat, then there is no reason for taking part in the first place. You haven't achieved anything, you have just screwed over someone who actually put the effort into it. So you might gain a new trophy for your PS3 collection, or gained loads of points in your Xbox account, but if you tell people HOW you did it, they are not going to be impressed.

You are lonesome people who for some reason don't even try to put any effort into what you are doing. My guess is you don't have any friends and you never will.

If, however you are putting a few cheats into an offline game that has been played 50 times on the same level, just to help get past a boss so you can carry on with your game, then I do not see a problem. You are only giving yourself a little nudge and are not tampering with anyone else's game.

I think most of the online problems in games are NOT mainly due to the glitches in games (i am not saying that these do not happen), but with players actually cheating. Be it somehow hacking the game in order to up the stats of players, or messing around with the connection to cause lag or jumps in the game, thus causing you to lose the ball and for them to score against you.

Like I have said in previous posts, I do not believe I am a top class player, but I can play well and I have played enough games in all sorts of genres against other people (not AI) to realise when you are being duped out of an honest result.

I will keep playing the game as long as I see fit, and keep trying to work my way up the rankings. All of this progress of course will be featured here in THE PRO EVO MASTERS LEAGUE BLOG.
